15mm Round (5) - Turtle - Ceramic Hand Painted Vintage Beads

These vintage clay hand made bead feature a hand painted Turtle.  The base of the bead is green, and the chameleon is a dark terracotta colour.

Because these are handmade in a rustic fashion, the sizes can vary quite a lot.  We will attempt to give you 5 matched beads, but this may not always be possible.  Every single bead is an individual work of art.

All beads made in South America around Peru have a wonderful story to them - usually depicting everyday life in the area.

The turtle symbol often represents mother nature, healing, wisdom, spirituality, health, safety, longevity, protection, and fertility

The beads have a coating of a type of lacquer from an Amazonian tree, which gives them the look of being an even older bead, and protects the artwork also.
