We've started opening the boxes.
And…
Oh my goodness.
What have we got ourselves into?
Remember those vintage beads we told you about?

The ones that came to Bead Shack around 2006 after spending years in storage at one of Australia's major wholesale and design suppliers?
Well, we're finally letting some of them out.
And we're discovering things we haven't seen for years.
Some are beautiful.
Some are quirky.
Some are gloriously old-fashioned.
Some make us say:
“I haven't seen THAT in forever!”
And some make us wonder why on earth we ever put them away.
But that's the wonderful thing about old beads.
A colour that seemed terribly unfashionable 20 years ago can suddenly look absolutely fabulous today.
A shape that disappeared from the market can become the perfect finishing touch.
And a strange little box of beads that nobody wanted in 2006 can suddenly
become exactly what one creative person has been looking for.
So, we're not going to try to predict what you'll love.
We're simply going to put them out there.
And we're making the prices very, very friendly.
Because our goal isn't to make a fortune from these beads.
Our goal is to get them out of storage and into the hands of people
who will make something with them.
Think of it as a bead adoption agency.
You provide the loving home.
We'll provide the slightly eccentric vintage bead.
And together we'll give it a second life.
The first Bead Rescue collection is coming very soon.
Come prepared to rummage.
You never know what you'll find.
