15mm Round (5) - Chameleon - Ceramic Hand Painted Vintage Beads

These vintage clay hand made bead have a hand painted Chameleon and Aztec gold wiggling lines around each end.  The base of the bead is green, and the chameleon is a dark terracotta colour.

Because these are handmade in a rustic fashion, the sizes can vary quite a lot.  We will attempt to give you 5 matched beads, but this may not always be possible.  Every single bead is an individual work of art.

All beads made in South America around Peru have a wonderful story to them - usually depicting everyday life in the area.

Chameleons are seen as symbols of adaptability, transformation, and flexibility in various spiritual beliefs. They teach us to embrace change and be comfortable with our ever-evolving selves.  This symbol was and is, an important part of South American culture.

The beads have a coating of a type of lacquer from an Amazonian tree, which gives them the look of being an even older bead, and protects the artwork also.
