3x9mm Rondelle (100) - Apple Green Opaque - Vintage Czech Glass Beads

How about these for a collector's item!?  Cute rondelle shape, about 3mm thick in the centre.  Did you know beads are usually measured from hole to hole first, and that's why these are called 3x9mm.  Look at the cute dimples in these vibrant green beads - you can turn out some statement pieces using this range of beads (we do have a few other shapes and sizes).

Vintage apple green Czech glass beads (circa 1950s-1970s) are highly collectible, known for a bright, semi-translucent, or opaque lime-green hue. Often crafted in Jablonec nad Nisou, these beads feature varied, high-quality finishes, including swirls, givre (layered colors), opalescent, or fire-polished, often showing slight size/shape variations from artisanal production. 

Key Features and Characteristics:

• Production Era: Most prominent from the 1950s–1960s, often featuring, or sometimes mistakenly identified with German production.
• Quality: Renowned for superior craftsmanship, with vibrant colors that are typically not dyed, but instead, the glass itself is colored, preventing peeling or fading. 

Identification Tips:

• Feel: Authentic glass feels cold to the touch and has a substantial weight compared to plastic imitations.
• Imperfections: Slight variations in size, shape, and color are common in genuine vintage Czech beads, which adds to their charm.
• Availability: Due to their age, many are considered rare, with limited quantities available from old stock or specialized dealers

These beads are from our famous bead haul years ago when we did a warehouse clearance from one of the original bead importers in the bead business in Australia. You may or may not come across this style elsewhere, but not very often!  They are truly unique.
