4mm Round (50) - Clear Crackle - Vintage Czech Glass Beads

Crackle beads always amuse me because they are quite expensive and look like they are already broken!  These are a small size bead, so great for filler beads on your jewellery pieces.  They will throw the light whenever you move.

Czech crackle beads are high-quality, pressed glass beads originating from the Bohemia region of the Czech Republic. They’re famous for their unique, shattered-glass appearance inside a smooth, polished exterior - a popular choice for adding texture and light-reflecting qualities to jewellery designs. 

They feature a web-like ‘crackle’ interior with a smooth outer surface, made using a special technique where hot glass is plunged into cold water, thus forming the crackle effect.

Measurements:  4mm with a 0.8mm threading hole

These beads are from our famous bead haul years ago when we did a warehouse clearance from one of the original bead importers in the bead business in Australia.  You may or may not come across this style elsewhere, but not very often!  They are truly unique.
