23x9mm Column Minaret (10) - Red Opaque w. Black Swirls - Vintage Czech Glass Beads

Only the Czech can do red like this!  And look at the swirls within the glass - truly remarkable craftsmanship.

Minaret beads often feature intricate designs or shapes such as bottle necks, columns or ornate cylinders, reflecting the architectural minaret, which serves as a beacon.  Often called the imām or yad (hand), is the final, largest piece of a prayer chain that connects to the tassel. It signifies the 100^th (commonly used in 33 or 99-bead sets), secret name of Allah. 

Use these beads to make, repair or beautify existing Islamic prayer beads, or as part of a handmade customized set.

These beads are from our famous bead haul years ago when we did a warehouse clearance from one of the original bead importers in the bead business in Australia. You may or may not come across this style elsewhere, but not very often!  They are truly unique.
