12mm Round (10) - Tomato Red Givre - Vintage Czech Glass Beads

A wonderful tomato-coral-red colour, with clear glass swirling.  Amazing beads!

Ahhhh givre.  One of my favourite finishes.  Always mysterious - the glass comes out differently in every single bead!

‘Givre’ is a French word which means ‘frosted’.  Not all beads given this title are actually frosted – some are transparent glass, but basically all givre beads have a colour within a colour – or sometimes even multiple colours – usually within a clear transparent glass

Measurements:   12mm with a threading hole of about .8mm.

These beads are from our famous bead haul years ago when we did a warehouse clearance from one of the original bead importers in the bead business in Australia.  You may or may not come across this style elsewhere, but not very often!  They are truly unique.
