28x4mm Tube (5) - Terracotta Hand Painted Vintage Beads

Truly unique handmade beads!  Circa 1970s to 1980s.

These clay beads are very old stock from a storage lot, that we scooped up years ago.  You won't find beads in many places that are like these!   We are almost certain these are made in Peru, using a terracotta/clay base, with hand painted decoration.  

The painting is a light terracotta pink shade, with black over the top for the design and then some of the stripes around have an 'Aztec gold' paint.  It's a great effect, and these truly unique beads will be fabulous on many of your jewellery creations, lending an Aztec theme to your work.

The patterning is suggestive of the ancient steps and other symbols of South America.

Measurements:  28mm long x 4mm wide with a 1~1.5mm threading hole
