Ouroboros Clasp

$7.00 AUD

A snake that bites its own tail is called ouroboros. The ouroboros is a symbol of eternity, and represents the cycle of life, death and rebirth that lead to immortality.

These super quality pewter clasps are quite robust, and are made so that you can glue in your cords or beaded ropes.  The inside diameter of the tube endings is about 7mm.  The tail end is circular inside, with the head end being slightly more oval.

Tip:  When gluing into clasps like this, it's a good trick to twist the piece after you have pushed it in place into the glue.   This helps it adhere well.

Clasp weighs about 8.5 grams, so it's quite robust, so think about this when beading a rope to glue into the clasp.  If you want the clasp to sit at the back, you would need to balance it out in weight.  Otherwise, you may prefer the clasp to sit at the front as a special feature on your project.
